      Daniel E. Walsh, P.E. is Emeritus Professor of Mineral Preparation Engineering at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a registered professional mining engineer in the State of Alaska. For six years (2006-2012), he served on the State of Alaska Board of Registration for Architects, Engineers and Land Surveyors, a board member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). He is presently a consultant to the national and international mineral industry. His engineering and research interests span a broad range of mineral processing applications, including project economic evaluation, comminution, precious metals recovery, gravity concentration, plant design, coal cleaning & utilization, and rare earth minerals.

      Dr. Hong Kim’s research interests are in the arenas of mine environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, and classical mining engineering.

      The projects he has developed and conducted include design for the tailings and mine waste storage facilities, mine reclamation, mine closure, mine permits/approvals, mine design and planning, mine valuation, and resources/reserves estimates in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

      He is a Professional Engineer registered in Nevada. He is a Registered Member of Society of Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME) and also fulfills the requirements to be a qualified person for the purpose of Canadian NI 43-101 reporting for mineral resources/reserves estimates.
