MIRL Spotlight

MIRL releases FREE training simulator for mill operator training

MIRLSim, a dynamic mill simulator developed by MIRL researchers, is now available for download for free. MIRLSim was developed as part of the $8M US Department of Labor TAACCCT grant "Preparing the Unemployed for the Mining Sector" (2014-2018). Though conceived by the grant primary investigator Dr. Rajive Ganguli, the simulator was developed under the leadership of Dr. Tathagata Ghosh. Besides them, several others contributed to the simulator over the years. Major contributors included graduate students Vaibhav Srivastava and Ankur Sachan.
